There are plenty of Internet Cafes in Amsterdam so if you just wander around you’re bound to bump into one. Connection speed is usually fast. If you have your notebook many cafes allows you to use wifi internet or use one of the mobile operator hotspots around the city. It's pretty cheap for an hours worth of access but do shop around if you’re on a budget. It will cost anywhere from €2 to €5 per hour with most of the offering light snacks and coffee. Also the staff are very friendly in most Amsterdam Internet Cafes so don't be afraid to ask if your having problems. If you don't have an email account that you can access while you’re away, most of them will set you up a free email account so you can email your family and friends and let them know how you’re getting on.
